Upskilling Lancashire is a multi-partner project funded by the European Social Fund designed to build workforce development capacity in Lancashire SMEs and to promote apprenticeships.
The University is seeking to appoint a Project Officer to support the design and delivery of an employer engagement and apprentice placement programme in Lancashire. The successful applicant will actively engage with employers to undertake organisational needs analyses, and support SMEs to develop and implement workforce development projects providing opportunities for employees to gain new skills and qualifications.
The Project Officer will be responsible for networking with employers to identify new employment opportunities for employees and for promoting apprenticeship programmes as a key route to new qualifications.
The successful candidate will be able to evidence experience of promoting or selling and of working in a business development or customer facing role. Educated to degree level or able to evidence equivalent professional experience, the post holder will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to plan and organise their own work.
