The University of Central Lancashire is working with local partners to develop a modern and innovative School of Veterinary Medicine on the Preston campus.
We are looking for a Personal Assistant to the Head of the School. This versatile role, part of a new and rapidly-growing team, would work proactively, collaboratively and flexibly with academic staff and professional service colleagues to directly support the Head of School and School activity. Core responsibilities will relate to tasks such as coordinating schedules, supporting meetings and assisting with financial administration and monitoring responsibilities assigned to the School’s leadership team.
The successful candidate will be a confident, capable and flexible all-round administrator with excellent time management, coordination, and prioritisation skills. Experience of operationally supporting complex and fast-moving activities in a very busy university setting would be a big plus, however it is not necessary for the post-holder to have previous experience in the veterinary profession.
The successful candidate will have a range of GCSEs, including English Language and Math’s at Grade C or above, or appropriate equivalent experiential learning. They will also have Word Processing/typing/IT qualification or demonstrable equivalent experiential learning.
